March 6-7, 2008 – Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division CLE Seminar
Ms. Damian and Mr. Valori will present segments in the program “Basic Commercial Litigation”. Ms. Damian will serve as the presenter for “Business Torts.” Mr. Valori will present “Injunctive Relief - When and How to Get it.” The program is designed to provide a basic overview of commercial litigation designed for the new attorney or as a refresher for attorneys with more long term involvement in the practice. The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division seminar will take place on March 6, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown located at 400 South East Second Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33131 and on March 7, 2008 at the Tampa Airport Marriott located at Tampa International Airport, Tampa, Florida 33607. April 10, 2008 - American Bar Association (Dallas, TX)
Peter Valori will co-chair a seminar for the Institute for the Young Business Lawyer called “E-Discovery - What every Business Attorney Needs to Know Now.” The program will be an overview of the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure relating to e-discovery as well as the most recent case law interpreting those rules, trends concerning e-discovery, technical information for the non-computer savvy needed to properly advise clients on e-discovery and document retention issues, as well as practical considerations concerning e-discovery issues. The seminar will be held at the Anatole Hilton in the Cortez Ballroom A from 8:15am-9:45am.

Melanie Damian, Chair of the Business Law Section Women Business Advocates will host a reception Celebrating Women in the Judiciary during the 2008 ABA Section of Business Law Meeting. The Reception is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Nasher Sculpture Center. The Reception, attended by women and men alike, precedes the Business Law Section Dinner to be held at the Dallas Museum of Art. The Reception will be underwritten by sponsors, so there is no cost to attend. We expect more than 400 people, including local, state and national bar leaders. Attendees will enjoy food, drink, musical entertainment, and the Nashers' world-renowned sculpture collection.
